At Thai Touch, we’ve always been guided by a passion for authentic Thai massage and holistic wellbeing. This year, we celebrated an extraordinary milestone as our founder, Orasa, was honoured by a UNESCO award in Bangkok. This prestigious recognition was awarded to only 27 massage businesses worldwide for their dedication to preserving and promoting Thai culture internationally.
Orasa grew up in a rural village in Thailand where traditional healing practices were an integral part of daily life. After moving to New Zealand in 2007, she formed a vision of sharing Thai massage and Thai culture with the people of Tauranga. She returned to Thailand to train at the renowned Wat Pho School of Massage at the beginning 2011.
Orasa and her husband, Nigel, began Thai Touch as a small, heartfelt endeavour in their Bethlehem family home in 2011. Since then, it has grown into a flourishing business with three studios across Tauranga, nearly 70 dedicated team members, and a stellar 5-star reputation. Today, Thai Touch is known not only for offering exceptional massages but also for creating an environment where clients feel genuinely cared for and rejuvenated.
The recent award ceremony in Bangkok is a testament to Orasa’s vision, the committed work of our incredible team, and the trust and support of our wonderful customers. It’s a shared honour that reflects the community we’ve built together.
